Hair Growth Cycles

Anagen is the active phase of hair growth and generally lasts for several months. At any given time most of our body hair is in the anagen phase of the hair growth cycle.

This is a brief phase where the hair bulb regresses and begins to shrink.

This is a resting phase and lasts a few months. The hair is released from the shriveled follicles and the anagen phase begins again.
